SOFT EMPOWERMENT
WORK – IMPACT ART PROJECTS – SOFT EMPOWERMENT
Soft Empowerment is an impact art project I created in collaboration with Oleksandr Pinchuk. Together, we explored the concept of strength — not in its loud, external forms, but in its quiet, internal ones.
We wanted to know: What makes a person feel strong?
And just as importantly: What takes that strength away?
To dig deeper, we asked every model one question:
“If there were one word that could make you feel weak, what would it be?”
That question turned out to be a doorway — into raw, vulnerable, sometimes painful conversations. Not only for the people we photographed, but for ourselves as well.
This project was as much about witnessing others as it was about confronting our own insecurities and letting go of the need to appear invincible.
Through portraits, stories, and unexpected objects, Soft Empowerment became a visual journey into the human experience — where real strength has nothing to prove.
It’s a gentle rebellion against the idea that you must harden to be powerful.
Because sometimes, the softest parts of you are where your deepest resilience lives.
