Controlled Polaroids
WORK – FINE ARTS – CONTROLLED POLAROIDS
Right after graduating from art school, I started playing with the Polaroid 600. I pulled the film apart, scratched it, left it raw. The transparent bits became windows to new backgrounds — poetic or absurd.
I kept them in sketchbooks, stuck down with 3M tape. My fingerprints still cling to the emulsion. They’re part of the piece.
The new film no longer allows this. So this is the end of that particular love affair. But to celebrate 30 years of making, I’m offering these early works in a limited edition. Maybe you’ll find your own story in one of them.
