Golden boy

Henri walked into my studio years after we first met — a teenager back then, fleeing Sudan, and now a man with stories in his bones. I didn’t realize who he was until we stood eye to eye, camera between us. It was then I saw the weight he carried — and the light.

In these portraits, Henri becomes more than a model. He becomes muse, mirror, memory. Fragile and radiant. Powerful and quiet. The work arose at the request of the one I love, but grew into something larger: a celebration of Henri’s golden essence and the alchemy that happens when two lives briefly intertwine.
