My Digital Muse
WORK – FINE ARTS – MY DIGITAL MUSE
Lockdown. No models. No people around me. Just me, my laptop, and this itch to create something. So I dove into a world I didn’t know — deepfake drawing. A space where algorithms spit out women who don’t exist, designed for fake profiles and deception. But I thought: what if I hijack it? What if I make it mine?
I tweaked the settings, followed my gut, and suddenly they appeared — painterly faces, strangely familiar, staring back at me with stories I hadn’t told yet, but somehow already knew. I printed them on porcelain plates. Artificial? Absolutely. But also… moving.
What makes something art? That it’s real? Or that it feels real?
These digital muses don’t have the answer. But they look at you like they do.
