Adventures of a Fluctuous Woman – Outcast

There are times when doors are slammed shut in your face.
When you’re not invited and left out. When silence sounds louder than anything ever said.
This series emerged from one of those moments, a quiet sting of not belonging.
Of being ignored, or slowly realizing you were the one slipping away.

You start to question: What did I do wrong? Why is this happening? Why can’t I figure it out?

I didn’t want to explain it in words, let alone make it into a story.
I just wanted to disappear.
To feel — or not to feel, to crawl inside my cocoon of relief.

This is what I do instead of running or yelling
I find comfort in the water. In turning pain into images. These collages are what surfaced.

And now, when I look at them, I remember that feeling — the weight, the quiet, the resistance — and oddly, the strength.
That moment underwater has stayed with me. It still gives me a rebellious power.
